Yunnan tea is a very strong type of Chinese Black Tea. It is distinguished by its fruity and smoky taste! Enjoy a cup of Yunnan tea!
Yunnan Tea is a Loose Leaf Black Tea that owes its name to the tea-growing province of Yunnan in southwestern China where it is produced. It has rich peppery flavours and is favoured by those who like strong brews. Even its colour, when brewed, is a deep reddened brown and is darker than that of most teas.
Its strong malty flavour bears a resemblance to the Assam Loose Leaf Tea. Yunnan Tea is distinguishable by its fruity and smoky taste. It is excellent with or without milk!
Chinese Black Tea
China is the cradle of all teas. This country is particularly famous for its green tea, that is definitely the most popular drink in China. However, Chinese Black tea is also quite well known. With the exception that what we call ‘black tea’ in the entire world, the Chinese would call ‘red tea’. This is their name for fermented (oxidised) tea. The preparation technique for fermented tea differs from that of green tea.
Bedford tea will gladly offer you different types of Chinese Black Tea! The most famous ones include Lapsang Souchong Loose Leaf Tea and Pu Erh Tea. Those two tea types are world-famous for different reasons. Lapsang Souchong Loose Leaf Tea is known for its smoky aroma and slightly tart taste, reminding of woodsmoke. Pu Erh Tea, on the other hand, is renowned for its health benefits, especially aid in weight loss.
However there are other interesting types of Chinese Black Tea. Our Yunnan Tea is definitely one of them. Its deep, full-bodied taste makes it an excellent choice in the morning. However, we have another very original Chinese Black Tea type, Keemun Tea. This particular tea has a slightly fruity taste and aroma. Possibly, it is not as strong as our Yunnan Tea, but it is definitely full of character.
