Discover our White Peony Tea, one of the best known white teas, which is known for its fine floral aroma and great health benefits! Enjoy your tea!
The Chinese name of our White Peony tea is “Pai Mu Tan“, that translates as “white peony“. White Peony Tea originates from the Fujian province of China. It is made from a bud and two youngest leaves of camellia sinensis. This tea type undergoes little to no processing. There is no rolling of leaves, for example. The leaves are just withered in the sun to prevent excessive humidity.
White Peony tea has a slightly stronger, more full-bodied taste than other white teas, such as Silver Needle tea. It has a delicate floral fragrance and a fresh fruity flavour, which would make it a wonderful choice for afternoon tea! It is best brewed at 70 – 80 C° and its liquor is of a slightly gilded pale green colour.
White Tea
White tea is famous for its rarity, sophistication, and undeniable health benefits! White tea is produced in a Chinese province Fujian, and is the least processed of all teas. White tea takes about 3 days to produce. This process is slightly longer for white tea than for most other types of tea. This is the case because of the 2-day withering that white tea undergoes. However, that is what makes white tea so unique.
