The Silver Needle tea is world famous! Its delicacy, fragrance, and healthiness cannot be underestimated! Discover this exquisite quality tea!
The Silver Needle tea, known as Baihao Yinzhen, is one of the finest and most celebrated varieties of white tea. This type of tea is produced in Fujian province in China.
There are two reasons why Silver Needle is considered one of the most precious types of White tea. Firstly, Silver Needle Tea leaves come from the top buds of camellia sinensis. Secondly, the tea leaves are shaded during the last three weeks before the harvesting, to prevent “greening”. What is more, the drying process for Silver Needle tea leaves also takes place in a shaded environment, so that the tea leaves should preserve most of their natural qualities and nutrients.
The Silver Needle tea is also well known for its health benefits since it contains a lot of antioxidants such as polyphenols. Our Silver Needle white tea has a nutty, almost sweet flavour, as well as a delicate fruity aroma, all in a pale ochre coloured cup. This tea would be a perfect choice for afternoon tea!
White Tea
White tea is famous for its rarity, sophistication, and undeniable health benefits! White tea is produced in a Chinese province Fujian, and is the least processed of all teas. White tea takes about 3 days to produce. This process is slightly longer for white tea than for most other types of tea. This is the case because of the 2-day withering that white tea undergoes. However, that is what makes white tea so unique.
Our Silver Needle tea is the epitome of elegance, delicacy and superior quality in our White Tea collection! It is also a very classic White Tea type, preserved in its natural state. However, should you be interested in something more extravagant, you might like to discover our Loose Leaf White Tea “Heaven’s Key”!
